e-Cargo bike arrives in Malton
Hendrik Klaver, Malton
Hendrik and his team are keen to start using this cargo bike on a regular basis and use it to be able to offer free coffee and tea in places where people are “on the go” but can have a break with them, such as the school run or local events.
As the project develops Hendrik anticipates it will also help some people connect with the Christian faith as people get to know them. In addition, the cargo bike can also be used to transport anything needed for OMG activities as OMG “inhabits” different spaces in the community for different activities.
The bike was funded by the Multiply project, Diocese of York and via local donations.
Every donation given, will be invested into the cargo bike, whether it is towards a thermos flask to serve coffee, the servicing of the cargo bike or something else!

June 2024 Update
The e-Cargo bike has now been transformed into a Cargo Bike Pop-Up Cafe (see images below), Hendrik has ‘hit the road’ a few times to try it out and it was received well. The bike will now be taken out regularly around Malton.
